Ealing Police have given more details on yesterday's stabbing incident, initially reported by posters on the ActonW3.com discussion forum.

The spokesman said: "On January 7th at 7.05am a man was walking to his car in Shakespeare Road when he was attacked by two black men in dark clothing.

"He was punched and kicked to the ground. He fought back and was stabbed in the chest with a small knife.

"In the process of the attack his car keys were possibly stolen by one of the suspects, but this has not yet been confirmed.

"The man who was attacked was taken to hospital where he is now recovering."
