Two men were arrested after a theft from an office on Churchfield Road last Sunday. The theft and subsequent arrest were reported on the ActonW3.com Discussion Forum by Aziz Khamis on Monday.

Argon Alia, aged 30 from Waltham Forest and Robert Jarocki, 28 and also from Waltham Forest are due to appear at Ealing Magistrates Court on Wednesday 16th July charged with theft from Enterprise Qualified Trades People Ltd, No 9 Churchfield Road, on Sunday 6th July.

Police received a call from a member of public who had reported seeing men exiting the rear yard of a commercial premise carrying two large blue toolboxes and then putting them onto the back of a white Ford Transit Van.

Officers arrived on scene a short time later and stopped the van on Churchfield Road, W3. There were three men in the van.

Officers recovered the blue toolboxes, which are described as site safe tool storage containers with a locking lid.

The driver was arrested on suspicion of theft and driving with no insurance.

The vehicle was seized under Operation Reclaim.

The passengers, a 14 year old youth and a 28 year old man, were both arrested on suspicion of theft.

The other two were charged as above.

The 14 year old youth from Waltham Forest was released without charge.

Operation Reclaim is the Met’s response to the amended Road Traffic Act, which gives police officers the power to seize uninsured vehicles, and those being driven other than in accordance with a licence.
