At 12.50am on Friday 28th September Police were called after reports of a man being attacked. When they arrived they found a man with a head injury who was taken to a London hospital where he received treatment.

As a result of investigations by the Police, a 27-year-old woman and two men aged 23 and 20 were cautioned for actual bodily harm. The men were also in possession of an offensive weapon (a bat) and these offences will now be on their Police record.

Cowper Road is a quiet, residential road off Churchfield Road. A resident who reported the commotion talked to us:   "It was very late on Thursday night/Friday morning 27/28th September.

"I heard a commotion outside at around 1.30am. I saw a man on the ground with his hands on his head. There were two men walking off, one with what looked like a club and the other with a heavy chain.

"It was obvious they had given the man a going-over. I just saw them both walk off.

"I rang the Police straight away and 5-10 minutes later 2 Police cars, a van and an ambulance turned up. The injured man had staggered up the road, but he was taken away in the ambulance."

A crime like this is shocking for families who live in the friendly area.
