Following their Christmas celebrations West London residents can get rid of their clutter and unwanted Christmas presents and take home what they really need at a 'Stuff for Free' event in January.

Stuff For Free returns to where it started, at the Vision Warehouse 15, on Kendal Avenue in Acton. This unique community event is great for everyone as people can drop off any unwanted stuff and those who are feeling the pinch after Christmas can pick up household items they may need. What's more, they'll be helping the environment. By re-using things instead of throwing them away, residents will be helping to save landfill space, reduce fly tipping and save valuable resources.

Councillor Bassam Mahfouz, chair of West London Waste Authority (WLWA) said "It's great to see Stuff for Free back coming back to its Ealing origins, especially in January when we're making resolutions to de-clutter our homes or continue the Christmas spirit by giving more to others – you can do both at this event. Into the bargain everyone taking part will be helping the environment by reusing things rather than simply throwing them away."

On Saturday 5 January, from 10am until 2pm and Friday 11th January, from 8 am until 2 pm, residents and businesses alike can bring along any unwanted items that are still in good enough condition for others to use, including books, furniture, gadgets and other household items. This includes both working and broken electrical items, thanks to DHL Envirosolutions, which will take away all the broken electrical equipment to be recycled.

A team of volunteers will sort through the donated stuff. Then on Sunday 13 January, between 10am and 2pm, anyone can come along and take items they want, for free. Full details – including directions to the venue – can be found at: www.westlondonwaste.gov.uk and www.stuffforfree.org.uk.
