A spectacular procession, outstanding costumes and plenty of impressive entertainment will enthral crowds at this year’s Acton Carnival celebrations this Saturday 11th July.

Hundreds of people are expected to take part in the procession leaving Woodlands Park at midday and moving on to Acton Park via Crown Street, the High Street and into Acton Park.

The activities in the park will continue until 7pm where people can enjoy tasting food from around the world, arts and crafts and a host of music and dancing.

Set up by the Acton Community Forum, it is the biggest community-led event in the borough and the largest carnival after Notting Hill.

In previous years over 10,000 people have attended.

The cost is £1 for adults with no charge for the under 12s.
