Campaigners against a bus depot at Gypsy Corner received a boost recently with the news that London Buses have withdrawn their original application. However, it remains likely at this stage that a new application will be submitted for revised proposals.

The new application will be resubmitted as a new proposal and not merely a revision. The reasons given by LBS for revising the original submittal were the objections by the residents and by Ealing Council. At the present time, LBS cannot give a date for when the Application will be submitted.

TfL/LBS were invited to attend a public meeting on the planned bus depot, but they refused. They will be sending a newsletter to residents outlining the new plans and they believe this will suffice as a means of communicating their ideas.

London Bus Services have promised that a copy of the Application will be sent to the Residents Association immediately after it is submitted to Ealing Council.

A "roadshow" is planned which aims to show residents what will be involved in the development. The format and location has not yet been decided, but it is likely to be held over more than one day and be held locally in a community hall or something similar.
