The police are appealing for witnesses and information following a collision at Savoy Circus on the A40 that left an elderly man seriously injured.

On Thursday, 20 October at some point before 11.05am a car and a pedestrian were in collision on the eastbound carriageway at Savoy Circus on Old Oak Common at the junction with Western Avenue (A40).

A man, aged 84, was taken to hospital were he remains. His injuries are described as life changing.

The driver of the car, a black Peugeot 307, has not been arrested; he is assisting officers with their enquiries.

Detectives at Serious Collision Investigation Unit are carrying out enquiries into the circumstances of the collision.
