Air Ambulance lands after woman hit by train

A woman has been killed at Acton Mainline station after being hit by a high speed train. She was reportedly hit whilst on the tracks by the 10:15 service to Cardiff.

Although an air ambulance attended (see video below) the woman, aged 40,was pronounced dead at the scene. Police are treating the incident as non-suspicious.

Train services between London Paddington and Reading have been disrupted. Train services are starting to operate as planned although, according to First Great Western (1.15pm), alterations, cancellations and delays of 30 minutes may still occur.
