A man has died following a serious fire in Whitehall Gardens yesterday afternoon.

Fire brigade fire crews wearing breathing apparatus rescued the man from the three-storey house but he was subsequently pronounced dead at the scene by a doctor.

Five other people left the building before the Brigade arrived. The cause is being investigated.

The Brigade was called at 3.03pm and the fire was under control by 4.21pm.

Crews from Acton, North Kensington and Chiswick fire stations attended the incident.

Whitehall Gardens is runs parallel to the Uxbridge Road opposite Twyford Crescent.
