The Ealing Central and Acton MP, Angie Bray, has praised the work of a local children's theatre group.

She paid a recent visit to Theatre Studio West at Acton Baptist Church on Church Road to meet Julie Saunders and some of the young thespians rehearsing for forthcoming productions.

Upstairs she found the older group who are preparing for a production of Midsummer Night's Dream, which they hope will be ready for July.

Meanwhile, the younger ones downstairs were being taken through a song and dance routine in preparation for their performance of The Jungle Book.

Ms Bray was impressed with what she saw and said Acton's lucky to be able to offer this wonderful theatrical opportunity.

She said:

"I'm constantly amazed and impressed by the local talent we have available and it's wonderful that Julie Saunders and her team take such trouble to nurture and develop it. We all benefit from the entertainment and the commitment of Julie's team and the young people themselves.''
