One of the quickest evictions of travellers on Ealing Common has taken place and a local councillor is putting it down to the boroughwide injunction obtained earlier this year.

Ealing Common Ward Councillor Joanna Dabrowska says she was alerted on Friday 9 August at 4.21pm to yet more arrivals on the Common.

She writes, '' At 16:26 the authorities were notified to request the attendance of enforcement bailiffs. Considering that Council offices were about to close for the weekend, by 18:04, Ealing Common SNT confirmed that the encampment had been successfully evicted.

"Allowing for time lag, from reporting to enforcement of the injunction, it took c.90 minutes.

"The injunction works!''
