Gas works and road resurfacing causing problems

A double whammy of gas repairs combined with roundabout resurfacing is causing traffic chaos and gridlock in Acton.

Ealing Council say they chose to do resurfacing work on the new roundabout (at the junction with the Uxbridge Road) this week because it's half-term and they had expected it would have the least impact.

However, it has coincided with essential work to fix a gas leak to the mains supply to the Acton Care Centre in Gunnersbury Lane.

Two way traffic lights have been put up along Gunnersbury Lane close to the junction with Uxbridge Road

The works are scheduled to last until Friday.

The council say they will put pressure on the Gas board to try and get them to complete the works sooner.
