Restaurant, bar and transport museum are voted local winners

North China which, (according to the website) offers "Mouthwatering Peking cuisine with an emphasis on quality'' has proved to be the most popular restaurant in Acton as voted for in the Love London Time Out awards.

Beirut nights in Park Royal was runner up.

London Transport Museum in South Acton with its ' cornucopia of old school treasures from London's transport past' won the Time Out Love London category for local culture and the relatively new Acton Town Hall Library was voted runner up.

Churchfied Road businesses featured several times with Vindinista winning in the bars and pubs section (The Aeronaut was runner up) and Park and Bridge took the slot for favourite shop with English Butchers coming second.

The awards are given to cafes, restaurants, pubs and shops across the city, voted as most popular in their area by local residents.

Since they were launched last September, 37,000 nominations were received for venues across the capital and 124,000 votes in five categories.
