Tackling Crime In Acton

Police stage 'Operation Ten-pin' in lead-up to Carnival

Ealing Police have taken part in a multi-agency crackdown on crime and anti-social behaviour in the area.

Yesterday (3rd July) the Borough staged ' Operation Ten-pin' led by the Ealing Safer Neighbourhoods Teams and Community Safety Teams within Ealing Council.

The operation took part across Acton throughout the day with morning raids, reassurance patrols and licensing visits.

The purpose was to tackle crime and anti social behaviour in a number of key locations where concerned residents and businesses alike have expressed their concerns.

The operation was chosen to take place in the run up to Acton Carnival (6 July) which police say gives a clear and strong message that violence, disorder and crime will not be tolerated.

Chief Inspector Dan Thorpe said “This is a great opportunity of where different partner agencies have got together to tackle a problem head on. Working together, we will be able to identify and strengthen community cohesion in those places that need it most.”
