Talent photographers from Acton High School have shown off their work in a special exhibition.

The display at the Hammersmith headquarters of data science company dunnhumby features images created in response to four of the key values the company encourages amongst its team: collaboration, courage, curiosity and passion.

Students were challenged to take photographs over a three week period in January 2017. The images have been created by students from Year 9 up to Year 13 and range from shots of everyday natural and manmade objects and scenes, to imagined compositions featuring photographed and manipulated elements created using Photoshop.

The exhibition was unveiled at a private view for students, parents and carers and Acton High and dunnhumby staff and guests on Thursday 2nd February 2017. As well as viewing the images and having the opportunity to discuss the photographers’ work with them, guests were addressed by Deputy Mayor of Ealing Councillor Simon Woodroofe, dunnhumby Head of Production James Uzzell, and Acton High Headteacher Ken Mackenzie.

It's the latest initiative between Acton High and dunnhumby, a partnership that began in 2015 when the two parties were introduced by Business in the Community.

The relationship has seen dunnhumby sponsoring a prize for a student demonstrating excellence in science, maths and technology, sharing its expertise in workshops, lessons and clubs and hosting work placements for sixth formers.
