Local Sgt Carl Massey said,"This was a really positive event in which the Polish community, The Metropolitan Police and the London Borough of Ealing, supported by local business came together to celebrate the Anniversary of the National Constitution of Poland. The event was a great success and we hope that it will build on the positive relationship between the Polish community and the Police.

"There were lots of activities for adults and children alike including a mock crime scene, face painting, traditional Polish food and music. Finally, I would like to thank the Ealing Safer Neighbourhood Board for providing the funding and the opportunity to run this community engagement event".

Chris Carrington, Vice Chair of Ealing Safer Neighbourhood Board added that: "Majówka 2016 was to encourage members of the Polish community to engage with the police of their local Safer Neighbourhood Teams and members of Ealing Council's Safer Communities Team, while enjoying a fun afternoon out. The event was judged to be a great success and we have been absolutely delighted with the positive feedback from the attendees. Over 250 members of the communities attended and enjoyed free food, free face painting, Polka, quizzes, live music and much more. We now have a solid base on which to build closer engagement with Acton's Polish community."

Consular Renata Wasilewska-Mazur attended the event on behalf of the Embassy of Poland in the UK and addressed the community in Polish wishing them great celebrations and encouraged everyone to be part of the larger community,
