Bread oven and extraction system ablaze on Gorst Road

Around 30 people were evacuated from a factory in Park Royal this afternoon after an oven caught fire.

The industrial bread oven on the first floor of the food production factory on Gorst Road was damaged by the fire. An extraction system also caught fire, extending the damage to the roof of the property.

Around 30 employees were safely evacuated before the arrival of the Brigade, no one was injured.

Four fire engines and 21 firefighters and officers dealt with the blaze. Crews from fire stations including Park Royal, Acton, Willesden and Wembley attended the incident.

The Brigade was called at 1312 and the fire was under control by 1514. The cause of the fire in under investigation.
