The Nokia's making a comeback and has taken pride of place at Carphone Warehouse HQ in Acton.

The company's previous mascot was the animated TV character phone Mowbli, and adorned the roof of the Portal Way building for over a decade. Now it's back to the future but surprisingly it's not a smart phone which has bagged top spot.

Dean Kramer, Marketing Director, Carphone Warehouse said, “Originally modelled on the first 3310, we felt the time was right to give old Mowbli a bit of a makeover to celebrate the return of one of the most loved mobiles over the last two decades. We’ve seen a phenomenal demand for the device since it launched and we’re looking forward to giving local commuters a big surprise on their way to and from work.”

The new Mowbli standing at over four meters tall, and inspired by the revival of the much loved Nokia device, can be seen waving to hundreds of thousands regularly passing drivers from the A40 from today, and takes its place as the latest of London’s landmarks to be given a bit of a face-lift.
