An Acton based history tour company has made it to the finals at the World Halal Travel Awards 2015 due to take place next week in Abu Dhabi.

Muslim History Tours is in the category of World's Best Halal Tour Operator competing against Eithad and a South African company.

The company promotes Muslim friendly tours in UK showing national attractions and local sites to tourists interested in Muslim heritage present in UK from England's first purpose built Mosque in Woking in 1889 to the location of Lady Montagu's Berrymead House, who travelled to Turkey and brought back to UK the practice of inoculation against smallpox.

Another location in Ealing discovered by the tour company was the last house belonging to Imam Mohamad who was the first Imam of London's first Mosque in 1895.He was a white convert to Islam, had performed Hajj and someone who had memorised the whole Qur'an and died in Ealing in 1906.

AbdulMaalik Tailor, founder of Muslim History Tours said:

"It is a honour to be in the finals for World's Best Halal Tour Operator. We are dedicated in making a difference to show the world that Britain has a long shared Muslim heritage."

London is gaining popularity among Muslims from around the world demonstrated even by last week's publication of the Top 10 Non-OIC destinations of Muslim Travel Shopping Index 2015 (MTSI 2015) which places London in second position.
