Police uncovered makeshift campsite near Perryn Avenue

Police in East Acton uncovered an outdoor campsite under the bridge and have arrested a man for abstracting electricity from a nearby lamppost.

The man allegedly damaged and tapped into the lamp post to charge his devices near Perryn Avenue.

Police revealed the incident on twitter after they uncovered a group at the makeshift campsite and said:

'' They are pretty clever they are running a TV and charging their phones off the street lamp.''

Police warn that such activity is extremely dangerous and could have resulted in fire or electrocution.
