Acton Local Election Hustings

Your chance to question the local parties

The Churchfield Community Association (CCA), a community group based in Acton Central with over 200 members, is hosting a hustings for local people to hear from and question all the parties in the four Acton wards (Acton Central, East Acton, Southfields and South Acton)
in the forthcoming local elections on May 22nd.

The hustings will take place on Wednesday 14 May at 7.30 pm at the new
Acton Town Hall, in community rooms 4 and 5. Confirmed speakers (in alphabetical order)
include:

Sharon Dixon - Trade Union and Socialist Coalition
Yvonne Johnson - Labour
Bob Little - UKIP
Gary Malcolm - Liberal Democrat
Dan Meskell - Independent
Phil Taylor - Conservative

Each candidate will be asked to speak for no longer than 5 minutes to outline their main
policy proposals.

The main bulk of the evening will then be taken up with questions from the audience. These do not need to be submitted in advance. Although primarily aimed at CCA members, non members are also welcome to attend.

Each candidate will be given the chance to sum up, and respond to points made at the end, again for no more than 5 minutes.

The meeting will be chaired by Sara Nathan OBE, an Executive member and former chair of the CCA.

It will close at 9.30pm.
