Pedestrian Critical After Accident Near Hospital

Police appeal for men who had been with victim to contact them

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man got knocked down in Park Royal.

Officers were called at 06:24hrs on Saturday, 18 July to a collision involving a VW Polo and a male pedestrian on Acton Lane, Park Royal, near to Central Middlesex Hospital.

London Ambulance Service also attended the scene.

The man, believed aged in his 20s, was taken to a central London hospital where he is currently in a critical condition.

The driver of the VW stopped at the scene. No arrests have been made.

There were several other males in the company of the inujred pedestrian who left the scene prior to police arrival.

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, part of the Roads and Transport Policing Command, investigate.

They appeal for those males, or anyone who witnessed the collision to call officers on 020 8991 9555.

Road closures were put in place while the scene was dealt with - the road reopened at approximately 10:15hrs.
