These beautiful displays which brighten up North Acton station have been awarded a top prize in Transport For London's Underground in Bloom competition. They scooped the cultivated garden award and were also runner up in the best overall garden section.

Station supervisor, Bharat Vagani, along with colleagues Terry Morralle and Abraham Soubair produced two raised beds from recycled materials. All this gardening work done in their own free time.

The prizes were awarded at City Hall yesterday. The team of judges agreed that the standard of entries was extremely high this year.
