Fire Damages Houses in East Acton

Crews called to tackle blaze which spread to other properties

Houses have been badly damaged after a blaze broke out in East Acton yesterday.

Six fire engines and 35 firefighters and officers were called to the a row of terraced houses in Hilary Road.

One mid terraced house was completely damaged by fire. A second mid terraced house sustained fire damage to part of the ground floor, half of the first floor and part of the roof.

An end of terrace house also suffered fire damage to its roof.

The Brigade was called at 1619 and the fire was under control at 1924. Fire crews from Hammersmith, North Kensington, Park Royal, Kensington and Fulham fire stations attended the scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
