Man Arrested After Manchester Bombing For Racist Abuse Outside Acton School

Police called to deal with incident at King Fahad Academy on Bromyard Avenue

Police using CCTV managed to track down and arrest a man who had been shouting racial abuse outside the King Fahad Academy in Acton.

The incident happened on Bromyard Avenue on Tuesday 23rd May - the day after the Manchester Arena bombing in which 22 people were killed and scores more injured.

Police say in the wake of the terrorist attrocity they have been offering reassurance and advice throughout the area. They have spoken to security workers at Park Royal Leisure Complex and staff at the Virgin Active Gym, they have also visited the Syrian Church and met staff at King Fahad Academy.

The Metropolitan Police say they are taking all reports of hate crimes and racist abuse seriously and the incident outside the bilingual Islamic-based independent school was dealt with swiftly.

After 'viewing CCTV and making extensive enquiries' the East Acton Team were able to arrest a man later in the day.
