Large crowds attended the recent family fun day held by Derwentwater Primary School.

There was a host of activities and families, friends, neighbours came along to find out more about the school.

There was a petting zoo, a chance to climb aboard a fire engine with London Fire Brigade and kung fu demonstrations from Animal Fu as well as slime making and balloon painting.

Also in attendance were representatives of the Elizabeth line and local MP Rupa Huq. The school will be partnering with TfL Rail when the new service starts running at Acton Mainline station. The event was also supported by Acton Library and the Churchfield Community Association.

The school said on its Twitter account, 'Thanks to everyone who made our Family Fun Day such a success. A great event for all the community to come together. Thanks to @AnimalFu @elizabethline @RupaHuq for coming. A massive thanks to our staff, governors, parents and friends who gave up their Saturday to help.'
