An Acton based artist who has exhibited his work in some of the world's top galleries is opening his doors again and taking part in the second weekend of the popular Borough of Ealing Art Trail.

BEAT was launched in 2016 and this year there are over 180 artists at venues throughout the borough.

David Cottingham from King Edwards Gardens in W3 graduated from St Martin’s School of Art where he studied sculpture with William Tucker, Phillip King RA and Sir Anthony Caro.

He works in the figurative and abstract traditions and has recently returned to oils for his new  show ' Made Visable' which features dance paintings.

He says '' The title of the show is taken from a quotation by the great US Choreographer, George Balanchine that “Dance is music made visible... Dance is always a challenge, capturing the transient moment, I hope I have managed to express even for a moment the inexpressible with perhaps a nod to the great Pablo.''
