Parking Charges Planned Near Acton Tube

No more free spaces for commuters

Ealing Council is considering introducing an all day parking charge to an area close to Acton Tube which is currently free.

Posters along Bollo Lane alert drivers to the proposal, which, if introduced, would apply Monday - Friday for a fee of £2.20 using RINGO.

The parking area is generally used by local workers and motorists who commute into town from Acton Town.

The area currently has no parking restrictions and Ealing Council say there is an ongoing problem with caravans, and cars parked for several days or abandoned.

The council say the poster gives commuters a chance to comment in advance of a formal consultation scheduled to take place in November.
