A new food growing place for the community

A new community space opens this week for local people to have a go at growing their own food.

The community allotment will be running regular hands-on sessions for residents to learn about how to grow fruit and vegetables in a friendly supportive environment.

The first session is on Thursday 30th between 6.30pm and 8.30pm on the Jerome Allotment site when they will be tending the strawberry plants which are beginning to form fruit.

Sessions are also planned for Wednesday 6th June 6.30pm - 8.30pm and Sunday 10th June 10am-12, with more to follow.
